Invite To A Family

Night.

Yes it was all gas rings ablaze

For the launch of St Johns Community Association on Tuesday March 18th 2003, at St Johns School in Flamsted. The evening started at 6pm and was free to all, Karen Buckels An artist from Haigh Hall Wigan was working with people to design a logo for the community association, with 200 people attending. The evening also featured a Chinese banquet, a guest speaker, competitions, bingo, and a presentation of prizes to St Johns pupils for their speaking talents. Overall the evening was a great success as the pictures demonstrate once again the school showed 100% support for our launch to which we are very much appreciative, the evening raised a lot of good ideas ranging from play areas for the children, parent and toddlers group, drama and swimming trips. Which are all being given consideration and we hope to implement some of them very soon.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Asda of Skelmersdale who kindly donated the lemonade sweets and crisp's and every one else that gave up their spare time and effort to make this launch so successful and hope that they will give their continuing support for our future endeavors.
